Incorporating a Hungarian k.f.t. Company

Hungary is a great country to do business. It is situated in Central Europe and its jurisdiction benefits from a vast network of international agreements to avoid double taxation. In addition, Hungary enjoys one of the lowest corporate income tax rates in the EU and is thus a hidden tax haven.

A limited liability company (korlátolt felellőségű társaság, k.f.t. in Hungarian) is the most common type of Hungarian company. Minimum number of shareholders: 1. Usual time to incorporation: 2 weeks. The extract from the Commercial Register is available to the public at www.e-cegjegyzek.hu.

To incorporate a company, you will only need to come and see us once in our office. As an alternative, you can also choose to incorporate your company remotely via mail. In such a case, a courier will deliver all documents.

What we will need you to provide in order to incorporate a Hungarian company:

• New company name
• Sector and business activity
• Copy of ID or passport or extract from the Commercial Register of all managing directors and shareholders
• A proof of permanent residence (such as utility bills)
• Managers’ criminal records extract from their country of origin
• Minimum capital contribution of HUF 500,000 (app. €1,600)

Opening a Bank Account

We will assist you in opening a business bank account. In order to do so, a manager has to come to the bank in person, however he can then manage the bank account via internet banking.

Virtual Office

We offer virtual offices in the capital of Hungary – Budapest. The price of virtual office includes mail forwarding to an address of your choice in Hungary or abroad. For an additional fee, we can also provide a phone and fax line.

Accounting Services

Hungarian companies are subject to annual tax returns. We offer accounting services in cooperation with a renowned local accounting firm. Communication can take place in English or Hungarian.

Nominee Services

We arrange for nominee director upon request.
