Ireland has an extended network of double taxation treaties that generally provides a 0% withholding tax rate. If combining the domestic tax rates with the EU tax directives and the double taxation agreements, Ireland becomes one of the most appealing destinations for foreign investments in the world. Ireland has no thin capitalization rules for foreign companies.

Basic information

The basic VAT rate is 23%. In Ireland, however, there are several ways to reduce VAT: 13.5%, 9% and 4.8%. The obligation to register for VAT arises with annual turnover of more than € 75,000. The most common types of Irish companies are the limited liability companies (Ltd.)  All limited companies must have at least one shareholder. The majority of Irish companies are private companies limited by shares. A private company is one which restricts the right to transfer its shares, limits the number of shareholders to 149 and prohibits any invitation to the public to subscribe for any shares or debentures of the company. Every limited company is required to appoint a company secretary and a company director.

• Name, address and birthdate of the shareholders

• Name, address, passport copy of the company secretary and director

The process of incorporation the company takes from 2 - 5 working days.

Opening a bank account:

We will advise you on openin a bank account and assist you in doing so in the Ireland. Depending on the bank of your choice, you can open an account with our assistance or we can do it for you using a one-time power of attorney. It is an euro account. You will then manage it via internet banking.

Virtual office

We arrange virtual offices in Dublin - the business center of Ireland. You can choose between a registred office, which can´t be used to receive mail, and a full virtual office including mail forwarding.

Accounting services

We provide accounting services with a renowned accounting company. Communication with an accountant is in English.

Nominee services

If you want your company to have an anonymous structure, you will need to appoint a so-called nominee. Upon request, we arrange nominee shareholders.
